Job Title: Assessment Clerk II

Salary: $60,304 - $66,098

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Details:

Clerical and administrative position in the Assessor’s office, plans and organizes work according to standard office procedures, performs typing, filling, data entry for valuation of real and personal property and related clerical tasks in the updating and maintenance of all assessment records including street card files, increase and penalty notices, etc.

The skills and knowledge required for this position would generally be acquired with a high school education with course work in business, English, and commercial arithmetic and two years of general office experience, including at least one year in a Connecticut assessor’s or tax collector’s office.

Completion of at least two approved CT Certified Municipal Assessor courses in addition to Courses 1A and 1B, or the corresponding Administrative Assessment Technician (AAT) workshops and passing the AAT examination within three years of hire.
