SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under the general supervision of the Tax Assessor, travels to and inspects new and existing building construction and property in order to obtain necessary physical information for assessment purposes; does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building construction, civil engineering, assessment, or a related field.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
At time of appointment, possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

SCOPE OF EXAMINATION: There will be a written examination on a date to be determined, weighted 100% which will test for the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Good Knowledge of the principles, terminology, and materials of building construction.
• Working knowledge of assessment principles and practices.
• Ability to record information accurately.
• Ability in mathematics and drafting.
• Ability to deal effectively with taxpayers and co-workers.
