Job Title: Administrative Clerk - Part-time

Salary: $31.32/hour

Hours: Two days per week (7 hours per day)

Part-time, non-benefited position; two days per week (7  hours per day). Under the direction of the Assessor, the Administrative Clerk assists in maintenance of all records and documents of real estate and personal property value and ownership. Confers with property owners and provides information about laws pertaining to motor vehicle taxation, exemption for elderly citizens, and similar tax liability matters. Searches land records for changes in ownership and in response to requests for information from attorneys, real estate agents and the public. Records changes in assessment administrative documents and files to reflect new construction or ownership of property. Performs varied  and complex office clerical work and skilled word processing involved in performing a wide range of administrative support tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and four years of experience performing a variety of administrative support duties OR associate’s degree and two years of experience OR bachelor’s or master’s degree and one year of experience. Experience in use of computer software programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point.

Experience with personal property computations, motor vehicle tax credits and state elderly homeowner program preferred.
